EAPS WIP ~ So many abreviations in one title! epiiiiiic

Some EAPS i've been working on for my end of year film. Some are still very dodgey -_-

End of Year Film Animatic

Well this is my newest animatic after I changed my last idea. Basically its about a business woman who is just living a boring everyday life, getting sick of it... when her lift breaks down, leading her to an unknown floor which thrusts her into a surreal world filled with coral, floating whales, and marine-men.

Blinks & Eye Darts

We've been practicing eye blinks and eye darts in class recently. The first blink is done traditionaly using light boxes and a program called monkey jam. Very basic, vanilla blinks and eye darts.

This dart was made using adobe flash cs3.

I've learnt alot from these classes. Turns out that people pay more attention to eyes than mouths. Sooo as long as you're showing the emotions through the eyes, your lipsyncing doesn't have to be 100% perfect, because the audience probably won't be paying much attention to the mouth anyway.

Also, we usually learn to draw in arcs when animating movements. When it comes to eyes however, we totally break the rules and try to make the pupils only follow straight lines instead of arcs.

My teacher gave us lots of notes from various animators, one being Kyle Balda, who has noted some very good points:

• Eye darts generally dart around within 10-20% of the eye
• Eye dart timing should not be even
• Eye darts are good for communicating subtle thinking emotion
• Very fast and poppy (no ease-in to stop) is the most effective
• Character thinking eye darts should not flow in one direction

3D EAP - Laugh

What's the time Mr. Wolf?

Ok, these are just some photo's from my acting class the other day. Teacher made us play what's the time mr. wolf. But we had to all link arms, and he picked a few people who after 3 steps, had to get to their knees and get lower with every step they took. But everyone else had to stay linked! XD

Jail Potato 3D

Well i made the jail cell for my potato. (By my potato i mean the potato my teacher made XD)
This is the first 3D background I've ever made. it took a while but i enjoyed it. 3D is fun once you know what you're doing!!

Big Fish TV <3

Went to big fish tv fest today. soooo freakin awesome! met the makers, egor (animation) and sheldon (music). These are the strangest, creepiest, wildest, outrageous, most inspirational animations i have seen in a loooong time!!!

New Stuff!!! Illustration, Comic and Animation :D

My 3 latest assignments. I have a wee bit of fixing up to do on the animation, but other than that, these are finished :) ok. the comic. this had to be about myself. 2 pages min/max. based on a true event. Childrens book illustration for ages 6-10. Theme: dad got stuck in the tree house. for everyone out there who cant understand what going on, the massive possum chewed off tge rope ladder, dad is stuck.

and this is the flash opener i made for our class screening we have coming up. we all had to animate a character reacting to the movie. mine however, is reacting to someone throwing a phone at them... a whole bunch of phones actually.

Nurse Reaction

My latest animation assignment... had to show a person reacting to something. so in this case, my nurse heard something behind a door at the hospital... she goes to check it out and BAM!!! but i didn't have time to animate the door.
